‘Green Jobs Czar’ Talks
His Way Out Of A Job

Maybe it’s a good thing that presidential green adviser Van Jones is stepping down. Apparently, he could not understand what a 9/11 truther petition meant.

Van Jones poll results.

For those who are not familiar with the 9/11 truth movement, consider yourselves lucky. A bunch of people honestly believe that the government either knew before hand or was actually behind the 9/11 attacks.

Jones is claiming ignorance, saying that he did not understand the language of the 2004 petition by 911Truth.org, which called for an investigation that the Bush administration had may have had some type of knowledge about the terrorist attacks.

But how could he? The petition’s first sentence is pretty straightforward: “… immediate inquiry into evidence that suggests high-level government officials may have deliberately allowed the September 11th attacks to occur.”

So, if Jones, who was the 46th person to sign the petition, “allegedly” could not understand that simple, clearly worded sentence, maybe it’s best that he steps down from the Council on Environmental Quality. It’s a terrifying thought that a man who could not understand a simple statement would be in a position where he would be reading important environmental reports.

But it’s hard to determine what the final straw that caused Jones’ downfall was. Besides calling Republicans a dirty word and describing then President Bush as a crack addict when discussing oil, Jones claimed that “white polluters” and “white environmentalists” were intentionally spreading poison into black communities.

Clearly, many would consider this a racist statement, especially when there are no facts to backup his claims.

But Jones blamed Republicans for the smear attacks on him instead of admitting to his mistakes. After all, it was he who signed the petition from a group with less credibility than when PETA was caught killing animals. And it was he who used insulting phrases against Republicans.

Hopefully President Obama can find himself a new “green jobs czar” who is bright enough not to talk himself out of a job and not have any radical beliefs.
