How Honest Will
Moore’s New Film Be?
Like a snake oil salesman who doesn’t know the meaning of the word “no,” Michael Moore is back to poison the minds of Americans with his newest documentary, “Capitalism: A Love Story”.
This time around, he, or the people that he’s hired, aims the camera at the “evils” of capitalism.
While many have pointed out that Moore has a track record of bending the truth to suit his needs, “Capitalism: A Love Story” will probably leave many shortchanged and some devoted fans won’t even realize or care.
In fact, Deborah Young of the “Hollywood Reporter” said in her review of the documentary “… this is a typical Moore oeuvre: funny, often over the top and of dubious documentation, but with strongly made points that leave viewers much to ponder and debate after they walk out of the theater.”
People should not be fooled with “dubious documentation” to start a debate. It’s dishonest and Moore is using the same dirty tactics that the people he targets “allegedly” use.
While the film will be out in theaters on Oct. 2, it should be noted that Moore’s last documentary, “Sicko,” made an estimated $9 million.
So while capitalism and big business may have their problems, like any other system, they seem to be good enough for Michael Moore to use to fatten his wallet.
