Conservatives, Don’t Become Liberals

Conservatives, it’s time you stop acting like liberals and accept that President Obama is a natural born U.S. citizen.

Obama birth poll.

For eight long years, some liberals and Democrats far and wide had beaten the tired old drum that former President Bush did not win the 2000 elections because he did not receive enough votes. This, despite the number of recounts that confirmed that he did indeed won.

Now some conservatives and Republicans are enjoying serving up a cold-plate of revenge to liberals and Democrats by saying that President Obama was really born in Kenya and not Hawaii.

They point to the fact that President Obama has not released his official birth certificate to verify that he was born in the U.S.

But a state official has confirmed that the president was born on U.S. soil.

“I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen. …,” said this week.

But that is not good enough for these “birthers” and they still insist to see an official government document that shows President Obama was born in beautiful Hawaii.

And what’s interesting is that the Certifications of Live Birth, a copy of the birth certificate, is not good enough for them, because they claim it does not show other information that the birth certificate will show, such as the doctor’s name who delivered Obama.

But it does no good to point out that Obama’s Certifications of Live Birth, which has been presented for the world to see, is an “official government record documenting an individual’s birth,” according to Hawaii’s Web site.

And what’s really funny is that many birthers hold attorney Philip J. Berg with high regard, because he is supposedly the first person to file a lawsuit challenging the president’s constitutionality of serving as Commander-In-Chief. What’s the joke?

That some of these conservatives seem to forget that it was Berg who led the charge in 2004 with a lawsuit, Rodriguez v. Bush. Before it was laughed out of court, the lawsuit claimed that it was Bush and company who were really behind the 9/11 attacks.

(And to be fair, the joke is also on liberals who loved Berg five years ago and are now cursing his name.)

So, conservatives, you are fighting a losing battle. If Bush survived eight years of liberals claiming that he didn’t win the 2000 presidential elections and also lived through the numerous impeachment calls, then there is no way you guys are going to drag President Obama out of the White House with a flimsy claim that he wasn’t born in Hawaii.

And quite frankly, it was hard to stomach the liberals’ crying and complaining for eight years and no one wants to hear another four to eight years worth of the same type of bellyaching from you conservatives.

Maybe it’s best to collect your energies and either fight his policies with logic and facts or work with him. Either way, it would be more productive than acting like nutcases.
