Health Care Reform
Should Be Scrapped
With health care reform now a reality, what can Americans expect, based off of other government-run agencies?
The U.S. Postal Service reported a $3.8 billion net loss for its fiscal year, which ended Sept. 30 of last year. And Medicare and Medicaid have their own horror stories. And the Cash for Clunkers program, well, no need to go into some of the problems with that.
So this does not spell well for the health care reform, which was already created underhandedly. There were backroom deals with unions, closed-door meetings while transparency was promised and new taxes to health insurance.
What is also important is that the majority of Americans did not want this reform.
And sadly, political bias is playing a huge part in the popularity of this reform. Many Democrats supported this health care reform simply because it’s the president’s pet project.
However if the Republicans created the same reform using the same dirty deals and trickery, the Democrats would be singing a different tune.
What should be done is to scrap this entire new law and remake it the way it was promised: Real transparency and an open forum.
